Little Arms was created to educate parents and practitioners on the latest diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical techniques, with the simple goal of improving the care of children throughout the world. We achieve this through lecturing to patient groups and at regional, national, and international specialty organizations, through online educational resources, and through domestic and international mission trips to places in need of our expertise. Through the generous support of our donors, we fulfill our mission at no cost to those we serve.

Dan A. Zlotolow, MD
Dr. Zlotolow is a Pediatric Upper Limb and Peripheral Nerve Surgeon at The Shriners Hospital for Children Philadelphia and Greenville, and The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. He specializes in the care of children with Arthrogryposis, brachial plexus and peripheral nerve injuries, spinal cord injuries, complex post-traumatic deformities, congenital differences, and limb deficiencies. He leads medical outreach missions to Havana, Cuba and Kigali, Rwanda and has founded 3 professional societies including Plexus Nexus and the Pediatric Hand International Society of Surgeons (PHISOS). He travels nationally and internationally as a visiting professor and lecturer. He was also a team leader for Zion, the first pediatric hand transplant.

Scott H. Kozin, MD

Scott H. Kozin, MD
Dr. Kozin is considered to be one of the founders of Pediatric Hand Surgery, and has served as President of both the American Association for Hand Surgery and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is the Chief of Staff at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, and serves as the Pediatric Section Editor for Green’s Operative Hand Surgery. Dr. Kozin is the founder of the Touching Hands Project of the American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand, through which he participates in over five medical mission trips annually and has improved the care of children’s upper limbs throughout the world. He travels extensively nationally and internationally as a visiting professor and lecturer.

Dr. Aaron Daluiski is a clinician-scientist specializing in adult and pediatric hand and upper extremity surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed his clinical training in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UCLA. Dr. Daluiski has also completed a research fellowship concentrating on the molecular aspects of limb development and bone biology. He has completed the Hand and Upper Extremity clinical fellowship at Hospital for Special Surgery. His current research interests include the isolation and study of genes involved with fracture healing and limb development.

Dr. Timothy J. Irwin is a pediatric hand and upper extremity surgeon at the Children’s Hospital Colorado. Dr. Irwin is a Harvard trained Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon. He subsequently completed two additional Orthopedic hand and upper extremity fellowships at the internationally renown Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center and Shriners Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Francisco (Xesco) Soldado is a pediatric hand surgeon renowned worldwide for his expertise in pediatric microsurgery. After his fellowship in Pediatric Hand Surgery in Philadelphia, he has become one of the most sought after surgeons for free tissue and nerve transfers in Europe. He has published over 90 peer reviewed papers and hosted multiple visiting students. He is a surgeon-innovator, continually developing new techniques for children with congenital differences, post-traumatic deformities and contractures, and nerve injuries such as vascularized periosteal flaps, endoscopic Woodward procedure for Sprengels deformity, nerve transfers for shoulder rotation in brachial Plexus birth palsy, volar intermetacarpal flap for syndactyly, and many others. He continues to host multiple international instructional courses throughout the year and travels extensively as a lecturer and educator.
